Los Almendros is made up of 43 separate residences located on a beach in the Gulf of Papagayo. The water is calm, great for fishing, snorkeling, scuba, sailing, and more. The Villis all have great ocean views. Most evenings the sunsets are spectacular. At night if you leave your windows open you can hear the gentile surf sounds. During the day the 78 to 82 degree water is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, scuba or just soaking. Straight out is the sandy beach, to the right is a reef about 4 feet deep. A variety of tropical fish, seahorses, crabs and other sea creatures call this reef home..

Howler monkeys are the size of a small dog. They frequently can be seen enjoying the almonds from our trees. Los Almendros got its name due to the large number of almond trees throughout the resort. Many people stay here to enjoy the wide variaty of birds and animals which inhabit this beautiful beach area.
Los Almendros is near great restaurants. A favorite informal beach restaurant and bar is Father Rooster which is less than 50 yards from Los Almendros. See the restaurants link above for more information on the local restaurants. The kitchens in the villas are fully equiped for the times you would rather eat at your home. If you go fishing save your catch! Many of the local restaurants will prepare it for you for a nominal charge.
